Sponsored Accounts are a special type of Access Account. The account is sponsored by a Penn State department for a designated individual and is issued for up to one year, with an option for renewal at that time. There are no limits to the number of times an account can be renewed.
The account can be Full (authentication, e-mail, directory entry, and optional web space and printing) or Slim (authentication, directory entry, and optional printing), depending upon need. The monthly fee is charged to an ITS Charge Account (see the Accounts Billing page).
Request Sponsored Account
To request a Sponsored Access Account, fill out the ITS For-Fee Services Request and the Access-Account-Application-for-Faculty-and-Staff forms. If no billing account currently exists, then the ITS Charge Account form will need to completed prior to completing the other forms.
