There are multiple ways by which a Penn State Access Account can be activated:
Electronic Account Activation
Electronic Account Activation is a process by which a user is sent an activation notification to an external email address (a non-Penn State email address that is on file at Penn State). The process is completed electronically.
Identity Provisioning is a web application that allows users to create and activate a new Access Account or re-activate a previously created Access Account. An example is the Penn State Graduate School.
Signature Station/Remote Method
This method will no longer be available after September 5, 2017.
Using a signature station or a remote method to activate an Access Account if the Access Account was not activated via another method.
Signature Stations will be decommissioned September 5, 2017 and be replaced by the Electronic Account Activation will be the primary method for activating your Access Account.
