CIDR (Central ID Repository) provides information on various ID functions throughout Penn State, including Social Security Number (SSN) changes. CIDR contains biographical information used by various systems across the University, including the University’s PSU ID and SSNs, Digital IDs (Access or Friends of Penn State (FPS) accounts), and addresses and dates of birth that can be used for matching records.

Service Availability and Maintenance
CIDR is available seven days per week, from 7 a.m. through 3 a.m.
There is no charge for this service.
Penn State departments responsible for performing various ID functions.
Users of CIDR are authorized Penn State personnel and affiliates in any area that stores biographical data on individuals to whom they need to assign PSU ID numbers.
Examples of affiliates are WISECAMP (which stores data on the Women in Science and Engineering Camp attendees, and FPSID (Friends of Penn State account holders).
CIDR functions can only be used by University employees and, where noted, require a SecurID.
